Photo archive

Fotoarchiv SUA Praha

The time-tested PROLUX 1 mm archiving board is used for these products. By request, the boxes can be made of the Laurent 1 mm board, the characteristics of this board meet the demands of the American ANSI/NISO Z39.48: 1992. The laboratory tests made in Rochester, USA proved that it meets the demands of the PAT test according the ANSI IT9.16 as well.

As for the protection of paper documents, this board meets all known demands on protection at present. Nowadays there is no similar high-quality system in this country or abroad affordable for expert institutions, professionals and broad public. An alternative of the photo archive made of paper and board are products made of plastics that are burdened with generally known environmental problems, a number of them being completely unsuitable (e.g. the products made of chlorinated and nitrated plastics).

The base of the photo archive is Archive boxes made of Laurent or Prolux archiving boards. The box itself was developed from a construction well-tried and verified in a number of archives. The individual sizes respect not only the formats of the collections to be stores, but also the most frequently used sizes of museum contents. The photo archive itself consists of the basic series of boxes, set-off folders, paper envelopes for negatives and positives and fixing tapes.
